How Much Should I Give?

Participation by every parent is important, and gifts of all levels are appreciated. Give a gift that suits your family budget. For leadership gifts of $1,000 or more, parents become members of The Charter Hill Society, with special benefits and invitations to events throughout the year.

The Charter Hill Society

The Charter Hill Society is a group of alumni, parents, and friends of the University of California, Berkeley who share an extraordinary commitment to preserving and enhancing its excellence in education, research, and public service.

Your annual contributions totaling $1,000 or more to any school, college, department, or program on the Berkeley campus will establish and sustain your membership in this special philanthropy circle.

 
$25,000 and above Patron
$10,000 to 24,999 Partner
$5,000 to 9,999 Associate
$2,500 to 4,999 Affiliate
$1,000 to 2,499 Member

Examples of benefits (increasing at each giving level) include:

  • Subscription to "Promise of Berkeley" magazine
  • Invitations to the Discover Cal traveling lecture series
  • Invitation to the Chancellor's Parent Leadership Donor Reception
  • Personal parent relations staff liaison to assist with campus questions or concerns
