The Cal Parents Fund
Every year, Cal parents are invited to make a gift to The Cal Parents Fund to ensure ongoing excellence of a Berkeley education. State funding and tuition cover only a small portion of Berkeley's budget. As a result, parent gifts are essential to help preserve important undergraduate programs and opportunities that would not otherwise be possible.
During our 2010-11 campaign, 4,896 Berkeley families contributed $1,815,678 to The Cal Parents Fund and other campus annual giving funds. These gifts had an immediate impact by providing critical support for areas of greatest need, including student-advising services, small-course offerings, campus-safety programs, classroom technology and upgrades, and the retention of Berkeley's top faculty.
