Alcohol and Substance Abuse
Quick Reference: University Policies

The university operates with the health and well being of its students in mind, and in accordance with state and federal laws. It does not condone the manufacture, distribution, possession, use, sale, or attempted manufacture, distribution, or sale of alcohol or controlled substances (as identified in federal or state law), on university property or at official university functions that is unlawful or otherwise prohibited by or not in compliance with university policies or campus regulations.

Before entering Berkeley, all students are required to take an online alcohol education tutorial called AlcoholEdu. For more information, see the section under Advising, Counseling, and Health.
