Berkeley's museums will be open free of charge for the day, including the Lawrence Hall of Science, the UC Berkeley Art Museum, the Hearst Museum of Anthropology, and the Botanical Garden. In addition, the research museums, normally closed to the public, will be open and welcoming visitors: paleontology, vertebrate zoology, entomology (bugs!), and the herbaria.
Athletic activities will include a football scrimmage in Memorial Stadium, a women's lacrosse match, and a men's tennis match.
The Cal Parents hospitality tent will be open all day in Dwinelle Plaza, right in the center of campus. Stop by to meet Cal Parents board members and network with other parents and families of Cal students.
A sample of planned activities is available on the Cal Day web site; the entire program will be available on line in early April at www.berkeley.edu\calday.
You may pick up a program for the day at information centers as you arrive on campus April 17.
If you have questions or want to request disabled services on Cal Day, call (510) 642-5215.
