Spring
2005 | If you can’t come to Berkeley, you can see the
sights and even meet students and faculty through a new online tour,
debuting this spring. With multimedia and loads of campus images,
the fun site introduces you to the people, places, ideas, opinions,
and natural beauty of Berkeley. Look for it at www.berkeley.edu/tour.
If
you can visit Berkeley in person, the weekday, 90-minute walking
tours begin at 10 a.m., leaving from the Visitor Center at 101 University
Hall, corner of University Avenue and Oxford Street. On weekends,
tours start at the Campanile, Saturday at 10 a.m., Sunday at 1 p.m.
Electric-cart tours can be arranged for $40 for up to five passengers.
Special
group walking tours can be arranged for those with special needs
or interests, such as a tour in a foreign language or one that focuses
on a particular school or discipline.
