Summer 2006 | Bring the whole family to Parents Weekend at Homecoming — Oct. 6-8 — one of the fall highlights on the Berkeley campus. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore Cal with your student, chat with the chancellor, listen to top faculty, meet the roommate, and connect with other parents. The weekend features three days of faculty lectures, open houses, tours, receptions, rallies, and Pac-10 football. We’ve planned a full slate of activities just for parents and families. Don’t miss our top 10 picks, listed to the right.
Invitations will be mailed soon. You can register online at homecoming.berkeley.edu or by filling out the form included with your invitation. Be sure to make your travel and lodging arrangements early; fall is a popular time for visitors to the Bay Area. Accommodations near campus are listed on the Cal Parents web site at http://calparents.berkeley.edu/visiting/index.shtml. Also, if you still have the spring issue of Letter Home, you can consult the pullout Visitor Guide. For more information about the weekend, call the Cal Parents helpline at 510/642-7147. |
