UC Berkeley’s new mobile app is the best way for parents to keep track of the latest campus news, like stories about housing, new classes and announcements from Chancellor Carol Christ.

The app — look for the distinctive yellow “Bk” (Berkelium) element symbol — is also packed with features useful to students: an “Arts Passport” with free and discounted student tickets to Bay Area performances, a schedule of upcoming events, a complete campus directory, essential contact campus contact information and a transit page with live shuttle schedule updates.

Cal Bears fans will appreciate easy access to schedules and news about their favorite sports teams, from football to women’s beach volleyball.

To download the app, search for “UC Berkeley Mobile” on the Apple or Google app stores.
