Tosh Lupoi, a former California defensive lineman and assistant coach known for his dynamic recruiting ability and who has enjoyed extensive success both in college and the NFL, has been named the new Travers Family Head Football Coach, Cal football general manager Ron Rivera announced Thursday.

Bears To Take On Hawai’i On Christmas Eve

The California football team has accepted an invitation to play in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl and will face Hawai'i on December 24 at 5 p.m. PT on ESPN.

It marks the third straight bowl appearance for the Golden Bears (7-5), which is the program's longest bowl streak since it went to seven straight bowl games from 2003-09. Overall, it's the 27th bowl appearance in school history.
