Bears To Take On Hawai’i On Christmas Eve
The California football team has accepted an invitation to play in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl and will face Hawai'i on December 24 at 5 p.m. PT on ESPN.
It marks the third straight bowl appearance for the Golden Bears (7-5), which is the program's longest bowl streak since it went to seven straight bowl games from 2003-09. Overall, it's the 27th bowl appearance in school history.

For the third year in a row, UC Berkeley graduates have founded more venture-backed companies than undergraduate alumni from any other university in the world, according to the 2025 PitchBook university rankings.
The annual rankings focus on graduates' return on investment and career achievements, among other factors.
In its newest ranking of America’s Top Colleges, Forbes placed UC Berkeley at #5 nationwide and #1 among public universities based on academic, financial and career outcomes for undergraduate students.
"Berkeley is not just a place, it’s a promise — and together we can ensure it will forever be kept," he says.

126,798 first-year students applied in total, according to new data released by Berkeley officials.
More students gained admission to UC Berkeley’s first-year and transfer classes this fall compared to the prior year — and they did so while competing with a record number of student applicants, according to admissions data released today (Monday, July 28) by Berkeley officials.
